Life Pro Tips: See your credit score and report, for free.
We’ve all tried it, haven’t we? Paying $1 to see our credit report/credit score only forgetting to cancel the membership after 7 days and being charged an additional $40? Not cool. Lucky for us, there are multiple services that provide this information securely, and for free.
You can get your free annual credit report by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com. We recommend setting up a calendar reminder that notifies you when the year is up, so you can re-pull and verify that the information reported to the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) is accurate. You also have the legal right to dispute any erroneous information per the FCRA.
You will not receive your FICO or Vantage credit score with your fee annual credit report. Luckily, there are many ways for you to do so, for free.
